How to fix black screen problems on Asus laptop
|
TRY REBOOTING
If you could listen to the normal booting sound, you should try to fix this temporary issue with a reboot. An Asus laptop may have issue with the operating system itself. You may identify the operating system issue if your laptop boots up and displays the operating system but after you login, the screen goes black or blank. A system file corruption may have caused the problem in your laptop’s operating system.
A temporary issue may get resolved with a reboot. But if the problem still persists you need to go further to solve the problem. It may be required to repair or restore the operating system through recovery console.
CHECK THE BRIGHTNESS LEVEL
If the picture on laptop is partially visible to you, then it might be the issue that can be solved by simply fine tuning the brightness. You should ensure that your laptop is not operating on a power saving mode.
Try adjusting the brightness level before you proceed further with this.
TRY EXTERNAL DISPLAY
You should check if the problem is not with the laptop graphics card. You can do so by connecting monitor or other display. If the external display works fine, it is the problem with your laptop display.
If it still does not work, your display is not at fault and then you may need to replace the graphics card or motherboard from authentic computer repair shop.
